Just 2 years after setting the record for all-time hottest month in July 2009, preliminary data from Austin indicate unofficially that this month's average temperature of 89.7° will set another new record. With today's high of 102°, only 2 days this month (the 1st and 16th) have failed to reach 100°. This record hottest month immediately follows the second hottest June in Austin history.
